"By Madeline Trait" is the what emerged from my passion for flowers, my design skills as an interior designer and my education as an architect. 

My design career began with studying architecture and then working as an interior designer where I stayed for over eight years. From my education and experience I learned to construct space and how to compose it using various materials, furniture, fabrics and objects. Throughout this time I always had the desire to create art and work with my hands, leading me to continually seek alternative creative outlets.

One of those creative outlets was working with flowers. I began to teach myself the art of composing flowers to enhance my environment. I soon began getting requests from my family and friends. My business emerged from here as it was a way to marry my passions; art, design and flowers. Event design is also a natural progression as it works hand in hand with my floral design skills and those I have as an interior designer and architect. 

MISSION STATEMENT

It is my mission bring my clients vision to live with creativity and style. I aim to provide the best possible customer service and products. I am committed to supporting my community and the environment. 

GREEN STATEMENT

I am committed to provide local, green and/or organic products. I strive to source all objects such as vases and other decorative elements from local artisans and manufacturers. My flowers and plants are from local or organic farms and my business practices are green and sustainable by composting, recycling, up-cycling and re-using whenever possible. 

I am also the official florist of Locally Grown Weddings, your creative green weddings team.
